Exploring the Maleny Botanical Gardens & Bird World
Some photos from today's fun at Maleny Botanical Gardens & Bird World ! Arrived just after opening, paid admission (it isnt government funded) and grabbed an ice coffee which was BEAUTIFUL.
Miss 4 set the pace and we headed down the hill to the petting zoo (which was not there years ago when I last came). We had bought animal feed and the animals were jumping all over me grabbing at it so Miss 4 didn't feel confident to feed them. Mr 2 just laughed at it all.
After spending some time with a lovely family there and chatting with the staff about the animals, we headed by one of the ponds for a picnic morning tea.
Next we hunted down the fairy garden! We spent a good hour just playing in this small area. The kids Stacked rock, Explored the plants and played make believe with the fairy houses. They are at fantastic ages of deep imagination and exploration. Everything is so interesting to them both.
Miss 4 next wanted to find the birds. We didn't buy tickets for the bird Avery this time but we still got to see some on open display. Singing OLD McDonald with one bird (yes... it sang it all!) and meowd like a cat... which VERY MUCH confused Mr 2.
All in all, a fantastic experience having changed and improved ALOT since I last came!
